A Cheshire Summer Wedding
I had the absolute pleasure of being the bridal makeup artist for Chloe at her glorious summer wedding at Alcumlow Wedding Barn, a lovely, quirky countryside venue and one of my favourite wedding venues in Cheshire! It was an early start as I was doing makeup for Chloe and the rest of her bridal party, it was a calm and enjoyable morning as Chloe was a very relaxed bride.
Alcumlow Wedding Barn has a fabulous dressing room to get ready in with amazing lighting and floral arrangements, making it a perfect location for ‘getting ready’ wedding pictures. Chloe had a bridal makeup trial before her big day meaning that we knew exactly the look we were going for; fresh, glowing skin with a soft nude smoky eye – Chloe opted for a gloss lip and I used one of my favourites NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Madeleine.
In order to achieve the natural finish Chloe wanted I focused heavily on skin prep, using the Dermalogica Hydrating Mask to begin with followed by Nars Sheerglow Foundation – I love this foundation for wedding makeup as it photographs well and has good coverage whilst still looking natural! For the rest of the bridal party, I carried out consultations with them all, discussing their skin type and their desired look in order to ensure they loved the finished makeup.
The weather forecast for the day wasn’t that promising, however, the sun ended up coming out and it was a fabulous summers day. This allowed Chloe to get married outside and the set up for this was absolutely gorgeous, Chloe’s flowers by Flower Passion were beautiful and looked amazing in the sunshine.
I had a lovely morning and I am so grateful that Chloe chose me to be her bridal makeup artist at her pretty Cheshire wedding, she made the most stunning bride.
